American Craft Celebration

Saturday, September 23rd 10am-5pmAmerican Craft Walk Poster 2017_11.25x17.25

Historic Downtown Wilmington will showcase the magic and talent of hand craft artists from our region. Tents lining Front Street will entice all art lovers.  It’s a perfect time of year to start holiday gift purchases that will delight your family friends when they open a package containing hand made given with love.

Debra Bucci, our resident ACWW artist has thrilled us again with her vibrant style.  The ARTFUL Pelican original painting will be on display at Art In Bloom Gallery and limited signed prints will also be available.

Can craftsmen participate without paying for a booth?

Yes.  However, you will not be allowed to sell anything.  If an artist wants to demonstrate only, or a dance troupe or musician wants to perform we will have designated areas to host you.

How do I apply as an artist? Why is it a juried event?

Artists that participated in the 2016 ACWW do not have to reapply.  Simply fill out the form, and check off 2nd year.

To fill out the artist application select the “Registration” Button above or go to the Artists page in the menu and you will find the application and details there.

The organizers feel deeply about showcasing a balance of different art mediums and those that demonstrate the skills that craftsmen have honed and dedicated themselves to. Therefore a notable jury of three that are in the arts field review each application and the artist’s work and background.

What is the cost to be a sponsor?

You can download our sponsorship information on the Sponsor page in the menu.  We offer various sponsorship packages for businesses providing full promotional opportunities.

When is the deadline to participate?

ACWW will need to have applications from last year’s event in by September 8th.

New applications that require jury review should be received no later than September 1st.

Will there be a rain date if extreme weather prevents the event from taking place?

Yes.   Saturday, September 30th 2017 is the rain date.
