American Craft Celebration

2018 CANCELLED for September 22nd

Hoping for RAIN DATE September 29th  – Read Below

Friends, Artists and Vendors:

ACWW will not take place on Saturday Sept 22nd due to downtown clean up and recovery operations from Florence. We are hoping our Raindate of Sept 29th will be an option. We will make the decision as the next week progresses and with advice from the city that we can close Front St as needed. We hope all of you have remained safe through this awful hurricane. I did not have internet connection until Monday to update our website or send a newsletter.

Please know that ACWW 2018 will take place this year even if September is not an option. We want all to be able to recoup lost income that is sure to happen over the next weeks. We will work with city staff to determine the best date or place if needed.

Thank you for your understanding and please feel free to share this message. You are welcome to message us through our email on this website with any questions.

Please continue to monitor and stay safe from flood conditions. Joan and Mike Loch

Can craftsmen participate without paying for a booth?

Yes.  However, you will not be allowed to sell anything.  If an artist wants to demonstrate only, or a dance troupe or musician wants to perform we will have designated areas to host you.

How do I apply as an artist? Why is it a juried event?

Artists that participated in the 2016 or 2017 ACWW do not have to reapply.  Simply fill out the form, and check off 3rd year.

To fill out the artist application select the “Registration” Button above or go to the Artists page in the menu and you will find the application and details there.

The organizers feel deeply about showcasing a balance of different art mediums and those that demonstrate the skills that craftsmen have honed and dedicated themselves to. Therefore a notable jury of three that are in the arts field review each application and the artist’s work and background.

What is the cost to be a sponsor?

You can download our sponsorship information on the Sponsor page in the menu.  We offer various sponsorship packages for businesses providing full promotional opportunities.

When is the deadline to participate?

ACWW will need to have applications from last year’s event in by September 15th.

New applications that require jury review should be received no later than September 10th.

Will there be a rain date if extreme weather prevents the event from taking place?

Yes.   Saturday, September 29th 2018 is the rain date.
