Earth & Stone Studio – Claire Goodall

esturquoiseringsEarth & Stone is the culmination of much soul searching, star gazing and inner reflection. After graduating from the academic world, I had found that the creative side of me wasn’t being fulfilled. I have always had a passion for photography and artistic expression, but it wasn’t until I enrolled in a basic soldering class that I found what I had needed; that creative outlet that I had been looking for. The whole process invigorated me–from sketching the design to setting the stones; my spirit finally found her calling. Additionally, I had built up a rather impressive stone and crystal collection. I was captivated by their metaphysical uses and I learned to harness that energy into an alternative practice for mind, body, and spirit healing. Silversmithing has allowed me to combine my love for both; creating one of a kind jewelry that fuels my life’s purpose and using stones and crystals to amplify that purpose by incorporating them into my craft. Each piece of jewelry I make is made with my own two hands, in my home studio on the southern coast. I draw my inspiration from the natural world around me; the ocean, the waves, the trees and the earth, as well as the supernatural realm(s) that are more felt than seen. An idea is usually sparked from the stone itself and the process evolves from there. Thank you for supporting handmade and original artistry. Love & Light, Claire
