Kids Making It is a non-profit vocational program that serves low-income, at-risk or disadvantaged youth. Our after-school program teaches woodworking, life and entrepreneurial skills to teens 13-18. Our Apprentice and Skilled Trades Programs offer older teens and young adults pathways toward employment and financial self-sufficiency. We also offer introductory woodworking classes to younger kids ages 7 and up, as well as Build a Project activities with partner youth organizations and at community events. Our classes are led by staff and volunteers who mentor students while teaching valuable skills that will last a lifetime. Our students are able to keep or sell the items that they make. Students sell their projects in our Gift Shop located at 617 Castle Street in Wilmington where they earn 100% of the profit from any of the items they make and sell.
